About Us
The Aggie Standard exists to restore balance, truth, and viewpoint diversity to campus journalism at Texas A&M.
For years, the university’s official student newspaper has represented only one side of the political spectrum, sidelining the values held by the majority of Aggies. Texas A&M has one of the most conservative student bodies in the nation, according to student surveys, yet voices rooted in faith, family, and freedom have been routinely ignored or dismissed.
We believe a taxpayer-supported university newspaper should serve as a marketplace of ideas, not an ideological monopoly. The Aggie Standard was founded to provide honest reporting, principled commentary, and a platform for perspectives that have long been excluded.
Welcome to the new standard: The Aggie Standard.
