The Aggie Standard exists to pursue truth wherever it leads.

We are an independent student publication at Texas A&M University committed to rigorous reporting, honest commentary, and accountability journalism. We believe a great university is defined by its willingness to ask hard questions, follow evidence wherever it leads, and give voice to perspectives that challenge comfortable assumptions.

We cover the university, the state, and the ideas that shape both.

We report on what the administration does with public money. We investigate what is taught in classrooms and why. We cover the traditions and values that make this university worth defending. We give a platform to faith, to serious ideas, and to the students who hold them.

Texas A&M is one of the largest universities in the nation. It deserves more than one newspaper.
